The Census & Statistics Department announced that the value of Hong Kong's total exports decreased to $345.2 billion in July, down 9.1% on the same month last year.

The value of goods imports decreased 7.9% to $375.1 billion for the same period.

A trade deficit of $30 billion, or 8% of the value of imports, was recorded for July.

Comparing the three-month period ending July with the preceding three months on a seasonally adjusted basis, the value of goods exported dropped 6.3%, while that of good imported decreased 5.1%.
